Dreams of Life Beyond the Veil
Across diverse cultures, there exists a profound and often revered connection between death and dreams, particularly in the phenomenon of dreaming about the deceased.
These dreams are widely interpreted as opportunities for spiritual communication from loved ones who have passed on. They are believed to convey messages, offer guidance, and provide comfort by reaffirming the continuity of relationships beyond physical life. In many traditions, dreaming of the dead is viewed as a sacred experience, where dreams are respected as a means to process grief, find closure, and gain spiritual insights into the afterlife. Ritual practices, such as dream incubation ceremonies, underscore the fact that dreams bridge the gap between the living and the dead, fostering a deeper understanding of existence and the enduring bonds of love and connection.
Dreams of Life Beyond the Veil is a conversation and immersive experience into the themes of death, the afterlife, and how dreams bridge us with the non-physical world, whether it be through encounters with departed loved ones, or getting used to having conscious experience beyond the body. Together we will gather under the thinning veil in the presence of this profound mystery and help each other harness the courage and understanding to face life, and death, with open arms.
What is Active Dreaming?
Active Dreaming is being active with your dreams, both spontaneous night dreams and the waking dream of life. Active Dreaming is a synthesis of archaic shamanism and modern dream work, weaving ancient technology and perspectives with modern day psychology, and works to harmonize dualities; between the conscious and the subconscious; self and other; waking and dreaming; life and death.
What you’ll learn at the workshop:
The language of dream; how to talk about and listen to a dream.
How and when to interpret a dream; the play of symbolic and direct experiences.
How to work with your dreams; activating dreaming in your waking life.
How to enter into a dream; day-dreaming, waking-dreaming, and the active internal space.
Better understanding of yourself and your subconscious world.
A deeper connection with your community and a new way to connect with friends and loved ones.
